GTA CEO honoured as Global Cultural Ambassador at Pre-Grammy Awards in Los Angeles

Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has received the Global Cultural Ambassador Award at a Pre-Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

The award recognises leadership in promoting culture, heritage, and international cultural exchange.

It is part of the Grammy Week events, which bring together cultural leaders, policymakers, and creatives from around the world.

The ceremony also acknowledged achievements in social impact, creative leadership, justice advocacy, community development, and humanitarian service.

It was organised by a coalition of international foundations and organisations including JOBSEEK AI, Los Angeles County Justice Care and Opportunity Department, Prison Professors, PBCG, ANE Foundation, Only Miracles, The Help In Hand Project, and Taking Action for Good.

Maame Efua Houadjeto attended the event alongside GTA Board member Prince Anthony and Director of Corporate Affairs Bright Asempa Tsadidey.

In her acceptance speech, she invited the international community to experience Ghana’s traditions and hospitality.

She also described the award as a recognition not only of her work but of Ghana’s growing influence in tourism and cultural exchange.

The GTA say the recognition aligns with its ongoing strategy to promote cultural diplomacy, destination branding, and sustainable tourism development.
